Combined Workshop 2025

Last Announcement - Combined Workshop 2025 of the WPSA working groups Incubation and Fertility and Physiology, October 22-24, 2025 in Berlin, Germany
Dear colleagues,
Time flies, and in two days we will already be meeting in Berlin. Therefore, we would like to provide you with some last important and useful information.
1) Food and beverages
Throughout the workshop, beverages will be served during coffee and lunch breaks, as well as during the two evenings (welcome evening and gala dinner with 50 years of IFRG celebration). These refreshments and food stuffs are included in your conference fee.
This also includes a guided tour of the teaching brewery in the conference building, which you can take part in in smaller groups throughout the Welcome Evening. During or afterwards, you will also be able to taste beer and there will be plenty of finger food provided.
We ordered lunch boxes on Friday. If you are unable to stay with us for the entire lunch break, you are welcome to take the lunch boxes with you. Of course, we look forward to a relaxed farewell together at the conference venue during this last break.
2) Public transport
Unfortunately, reconstruction work is being carried out this week on the S-Bahn line 1, 2, 25 between Nordbahnhof and Bornholmer Straße. There will be a rail replacement service (Schienenerstzverkehr, SEV) in the north (e.g.to Bornholme Straße).
The workshop venue (building VBL) is located at: Seestrasse 13, 13353 Berlin
(Tram 13 or 50 Seestrasse/Amrumerstr., 5-min walk, or underground (U 9) Amrumerstr., 10-min walk).
3) Parking
There are sufficient parking spaces available on the premises at Seestraße 13. Parking is available directly in front of the conference building and also to the right of it (see map in the appendix).
4) Weather in Berlin during the conference
During the week from 21-24 October, Berlin will see a mix of sun and clouds, but it will remain mostly dry with a higher probability of rain on Thursday and Friday. Maximum temperatures will range around 15°C during the day and 10°C during night.
5) Safety
The organisers have the right to enforce house rules.
Only guests who have registered online in advance and paid their registration fee may enter the conference building and must wear their name badges after registering on site for the entire duration of the conference. The event team and organisers wear coloured badges and are therefore easy to recognise. If you have any questions or problems, you can contact them at any time.
Please do not bring your own beverages in bottles or similar containers, as these may have to be handed in at the entrance. As already mentioned, sufficient beverages will be provided.
And, please, during the scientific sessions switch your mobile phone to silent mode and refrain from taking photographs from the slides of the scientific presentations.
We would appreciate it if you would forward this announcement to your colleagues working in the relevant field of interest. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us: barbara.tzschentke@iasp.hu-berlin.de.
