Code of Conduct

The IFRG brings together academia and industry to advance incubation and fertility research. To ensure a safe, respectful, and productive meeting environment, we require everyone (including staff, attendees, speakers, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, collectively referred to as “participants”) to adhere to our Code of Conduct.

This Code of Conduct applies to all aspects of the meeting, including but not limited to meeting sessions, breaks, social events, and communications, whether in person or online (including email and social media).

We invite you to help us make the meeting an experience that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful to all participants. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, treating others with courtesy and respect, and contributing to an environment that supports open scientific exchange and collaboration. Diverse perspectives and constructive discussion are encouraged, provided they are expressed thoughtfully and without personal attack.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or exclusionary behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes unwelcome verbal, physical, or written conduct; inappropriate attention; disruptive behavior during sessions or events; or any action that undermines the dignity or safety of others. Scientific disagreement is a natural and valuable part of research discussion, but it must remain focused on ideas and evidence rather than individuals.

Participants are expected to uphold high standards of scientific and professional integrity. This includes presenting research honestly and accurately, respecting confidentiality and unpublished data, acknowledging contributions appropriately, and disclosing relevant conflicts of interest when applicable.

If you experience or witness behavior that is inconsistent with this Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it to a member of the IFRG organizing committee. All reports will be taken seriously and handled as discreetly and respectfully as possible.

IFRG reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this Code of Conduct in order to protect the integrity of the meeting and the well-being of participants. Such actions may include warnings, removal from sessions or events, exclusion from the meeting without refund, or exclusion from future meetings.

By participating in an IFRG meeting, you acknowledge your responsibility to uphold this Code of Conduct and to contribute to a safe, respectful, and productive environment for everyone.
